Who we are
LastLap Driver and LastLap Control are the phone apps of Fleetz Last Mile, a delivery service that Telematic Pro provides to businesses. In this policy, “your company” is the business that gave you your sign-in, and “we” is Telematic Pro.
Your company decides what it records about its deliveries and how long it keeps it. We store and process that information for your company, so that the service works. For anything in this policy, write to support@telematicpro.com.
Who the apps are for
- LastLap Driver is for delivery drivers whose company uses Fleetz Last Mile. A driver signs in with a username and password that the company’s office makes on the Fleetz website. An account cannot be made in the app.
- LastLap Control is for the company’s office staff. They sign in with their Fleetz account: its password and, if it is on, the 6-digit code; or their company’s Microsoft or Google sign-in.
- The apps are for the staff of businesses, aged 18 or over. They are not meant for children.
What LastLap Driver collects, and why
- Your sign-in. Your username; and, when you sign in, the phone’s name, its system and the app’s version, so your office can see which phones are signed in and sign one out. Your password is kept only as a one-way hash.
- Your routes and what you do on them. When you start and finish a route or a trip, arrive at a stop, deliver or pick up, or could not, with the reason, and when each step was done.
- Your location while a route is out. Your company chooses whether the phones share where they are, for example only when the van has no tracker of its own. When it does, LastLap Driver sends the phone’s location (where it is, how fast it moves, its direction and how accurate the reading is) about every 15 seconds from the moment you start a route until you finish it, also when the app is closed or not in use. It is used to show your van to your company’s office and to the customers expecting a delivery from you, with the time you will arrive; to mark your stops arrived when you get there; and to count the distance driven. Before it starts the first time, the app tells you this and asks you; you can say Not now. While it is on, the phone shows it (a notification on Android, the location indicator on iPhone). It stops when you finish the route, when you sign out, or after 16 hours at most. Outside your routes, nothing is sent.
- Your location at each step. When you start or finish a route or a trip, and when you mark a stop arrived, delivered or not delivered, the app also reads the phone’s position once and sends it with that step, as proof for your company.
- Proof of delivery. The photos you take of a delivery; the signature the receiver draws on the screen; the name of whoever took it (the receiver, or the guard or neighbour it was left with when the receiver allowed it); the kind and last four digits of an ID when your company asks for one; a delivery code; cash collected and how it was paid; and the package barcodes you scan.
- Expenses, when your company takes them in the app: what you paid on a route (fuel, parking, a fine or something else), the amount, the litres for fuel, the receipt’s number, a note and the photo of the receipt.
- Messages and notes. Messages between you and your office, and notes you leave about a place for the next driver (its entrance, parking, access).
- A notification token, so that your office can tell you about new or changed routes and send you messages.
The camera is used only when you take a delivery or receipt photo or scan a barcode. The app does not read your photo library, contacts, microphone or other apps.
What LastLap Control collects, and why
- Your sign-in. Your Fleetz account. With Microsoft or Google sign-in, that company confirms who you are to Fleetz; we never receive your Microsoft or Google password.
- A notification token, for the Last Mile alerts you choose to get.
- What you do in it. Messages you send to drivers, routes and orders you cancel or try again, cash you settle, and the alerts you read and choose.
LastLap Control shows your company’s Last Mile information (routes, orders, the customers’ names and addresses, proof of delivery, where the vans are) to the people your company allows to see it. It does not use the phone’s location or camera.
How the information is used
Only to run the delivery service for your company: its routes, proof of delivery, messages, alerts and reports. Nothing is sold. Nothing is used for advertising, for building profiles, or to track you across other apps and websites. The apps contain no advertising and no analytics tools.
Who else sees it
- Your company: its office staff, and, as your company sets it up, the businesses it delivers for and the people receiving deliveries, through the tracking links and portal it uses (for example a delivery’s status, the driver’s name and, where your company allows, its proof of delivery).
- The people expecting a delivery from you see where your van is on their tracking link while their delivery is on its way, and when you will arrive.
- Service providers working for us, each only for its own part: the servers Fleetz runs on; Expo, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple’s notification service, to deliver notifications; a text message provider for urgent messages; Google Maps (Android) and Apple Maps (iPhone) to show maps; the navigation app you choose (Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps) when you ask for directions; and Microsoft or Google when you choose to sign in with them.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
How long it is kept
- Delivery records (routes, steps, proof of delivery, expenses, messages) stay in your company’s Fleetz account for as long as your company keeps them, and are deleted with its account.
- The locations sent along a route are kept 90 days, then deleted. The place noted with each step stays with its delivery record.
- A phone’s sign-in ends when you sign out, when your office signs the phone out or sets a new password, or after 60 days without use.
- On the phone, the app keeps the day’s routes, and any steps and locations not sent yet for want of signal (until they are sent). Removing the app removes them.
How it is kept safe
Everything travels encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are kept only as one-way hashes, the phone keeps its sign-in in the system’s secure storage, and repeated wrong passwords are refused for a while. Only the people your company allows can see its information.
Your choices, and deleting your information
- You can say Not now when the app asks to share your location along a route, and switch it on later from the route.
- You can refuse or switch off location and camera in the phone’s settings. Your location is then not shared, steps are sent without the phone’s position, and delivery photos cannot be taken.
- You can switch notifications off in the phone’s settings.
- To see, correct or delete information about you, ask your company’s office, or write to support@telematicpro.com with the app’s name and your company’s name: we will act on it with your company. Your company can remove your sign-in at any time.
- Removing the app from your phone removes what it kept there.
